Harold Duncan
Encore Fellow, Aspiranet

Harold Duncan directed numerous capital improvement projects during his 25+ years in facility management for three California municipal governments. As Fleet and Facility Manager for the City of Stockton, he oversaw more than 1,000 vehicles and 100 facilities, and as Building Maintenance Superintendent, he supervised all building and maintenance activities and service contracts for the Cities of Sacramento and Visalia. During his Aspiranet Encore Fellowship, Harold worked with members of the Senior Management Team to identify business operations improvements and implement an interoperable model of service delivery in Turlock. In retirement, Harold enjoys daily walks with his wife and hanging out with his 16 grandchildren. He is spending lots of time in his woodshop building beds, tables and toys, and is active in his church, serving as an assistant engineer in the Sacramento Temple.

“My Aspiranet Encore Fellowship was a great opportunity to work with wonderful people and continue to learn – and to discover that retirement really is fun and rewarding.”
